UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy

I graduated from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Asheville in 2015. I have four years of experience working in the community setting as a pharmacist and director of clinical services at an independent pharmacy in Waynesville, NC. I am now a postdoctoral research associate with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Asheville, NC working on two studies related to community pharmacy practice with Dr. Delesha Carpenter: 1) The Rural Research Alliance of Community Pharmacies (RURAL-CP) working with rural community pharmacists to develop a practice-based research network (PBRN); and 2) Nalox-Comm working with pharmacy stakeholders to develop an online module to increase rural pharmacists’ self-efficacy to engage individuals in naloxone discussions. Some of my practice and research interests include rural pharmacy practice, clinical services in community pharmacy, tobacco cessation, substance use disorder/treatment, naloxone, and coordination of care.
